20160626_082014_resized_2It’s been a busy summer season this year.   I’m in between trips and thought I’d write a quick post.

The weather has been VERY interesting this fishing season — rainy and cool followed by hot and steamy.  As you may have guessed, that has the fishing both challenging and fun.

The fish are biting–especially early in the morning into the early afternoon and after dinner.   Smalleys, Northern and Walleye have been on the menu.  As most of my clients know, my philosophy is Catch What You Eat and, fish all day.

This is a photo of a trip mid-June with John, Tim and Bill; John has been here for many seasons, Tim came back for a second visit and this was Bill’s first time in the BWCA.   This is us getting towed to our first portage.

I have several Quetico trips within the next month; we’ll definitely take advantage of a tow to Prairie Portage!
